It's amazing the lack knowledge of many, Peru is known for its ceviche, the potato was domesticated by the Incas (was poisonous) probably it had never been known in the world (across the Spanish conquerors), as the tomato that also is original of Peru, this way as the Aji (chili) and the avocado (these three last ones also are from Mexico, both countries have very much in common) the Peruvian maize is different from that of USA the grains are bigger and more than 60 varieties exist in Peru. The Peruvian lemon thanks to the quality of the land, is more acid, for what it is ideal for the preparation of the cebiche (allowing that the fish should be cooked in cold). The Pisco is a Peruvian unmatured brandy prepared with Quebranta grapes own of this land (Autochthonous of this land product of the combination of the spanish grappas), and that has obtained many awards worldwide. These are some examples. Peru not only is known by Machu Picchu or Cuzco, has many things more.
