What shops are there in Colombia and what do they sell and what are they like?

You may find: CArrefour, MAkro, home depot, Exito (Colombian kind of Carrefour), and Alkosto(Colombian kind of MAkro) a lot of malls. For electronics and domestic devices ktronix and better u ask for "SAn Andresitos", u may find things even cheaper than in JApan matrix house!, but need to take care for piracy items or second hand refurbished . This specially regarding to big cities, for the rest u may find local small and really fancy shops, as well as" fresh groceries markets" with really "natural" farm products and by-products. ANd of course smaller variants than those listed in "you may not find yet" are present.

You may not find yet: walmart, target, Delhaize/food lion, Decathlon, mediamarkt, ikea, winter specialized shops(obvious!)

For the rest all the typical occidental superficiality and superfluities u can get in the main Colombian cities: Dolce y GAbbana, Tommy, Channel, Dior, Puma , Nike etc etc.... not sure about Armani!

The cities will have shops, stores, and superstores very similar to the states. The towns will have small shops and usually a marketplace where you can get a watch fixed or shoes repaired as well as food, clothing, etc.

I have been to Bogota, Barranquilla, Cucuta, and Cartagena. I enjoyed them all, But I really liked Pamplona, a town a few hours away from Cucuta by bus. It was nice to walk the streets with friends and buy a slice of Pizza at night. But I'm a small town guy.
