There is no single place that's best for everyone; it depends on your interests. i would highly recommend that you visit your local library or bookstore and hit the travel section to find places that appeal to you. In my experience there are interesting things to see and do just about anywhere you might go. There are interesting cultures and traditions reflected in local festivals, historic sites, beautiful art and architecture, beaches, mountains, shopping, music, athletic events ... There are also good foods and nice people just about everywhere. What are you specifically looking for? I particularly like places like Amsterdam, Prague, Paris, Munich, Budapest, Barcelona, Vienna, Rome, florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, the Amalfi Coast and Iceland.
Depends on how much you have traveled, what you are after, and what your budget is. Here are some suggestions:
Tropical beaches, all inclusive resorts, not much culture shock - the Caribbean
Adventure, culture, diving and snorkeling - Thailand
Romance, a once in a lifetime escape - The Maldives
Western culture, but great weather - USA or Australia
Wildlife and romance - Africa
Good food, site-seeing, romance, culture - Italy, France, Spain
Alternatively, if you just want some sun and time with your significant other, then pick an all inclusive resort in a country relatively close to you and just relax! :-)

If you are American , I think Bali will be the best place, you can enjoy sunbath, beach, the sunset, spa, and refreshment if you go to Bali, Indonesia
Or if you want to have fun you can go to maybe Thailand, there you can play with the Elephants and stuffs and you can go shopping like everyday because it is so cheap there
If you want to go to the cities that most people like you can go to Hongkong, it is so nice taking a vacation there, you can go shopping, and going to disneyland and ocean park is fun too, and if you are in Hongkong, you can go to Macau with only 2 hours with a ferri, Macau is like Asia's Vegas
If you want to see a very good view, but not to expensive like Europe, you can go to New Zealand. New Zealand has a really great view that you can enjoy, and many beaches too, it is like Bali but I like New Zealand more
If you want to go to the place where you will definitely like staying, you can visit Australia, don't visit Perth, it's boring, visit Melbourne or Sydney, it is so fun there
If you like korean pop , drama , yeah whatever it is, you can go to South Korea, and it will be nice if you go there at winter, so try it

if you and your fiancee like marijuana and wanna feel high before getting married go to amsterdam,
if you wanna see wildlife then africa is the destination,
if youre a shoppaholic singapore or dubai are great for shopping, but if youre in a budget please go to south east asia, where everything is cheap for us dollars (bali-indonesia, thailand, philippines etc)
