Food is very expensive as well, the cheapest lunch costs 6 soles, so you work 2 hours to buy your lunch, that if the company you work for, does not offer free lunch for its workers, 100 soles to pay rent, living in the worse areas, where insecurity is the highest.
If you want to live in a safe area it will cost you from 500 to 1000 dollars.
I 100% suggest you stay in the U.S, save a lot of money, and if you plan to come here, you should come with enough money to be able to buy a house in a safe place, because insecurity in this country is very high, people can't even own a $10,000 worth car, because they get robbed.
