Most of the beaches in Gunacaste is very warm. You should make sure you go to Playa Tamarindo because it is where all the best beach are located. Stay away from Playa del coco & playa panama because the beaches are dirty because of the volcanic ash. So the water in this resort you will be staying in must be so water geographically because Costa Rica seas/oceans normally have the warm currents as the nearest currents for Costa Rica. Here is the evidence for the currents;-

(Pacific Ocean, the ocean where is the closest to your hotel)
Just in case if you don't interest in current so you should notice that Costa Rica is closer to the Equator so it's supposed to be warm as you requested. I never been to Costa Rica but I have researched for you.
The water is colder than the Caribbean or the Gulf of Mexico, but delightful to swim in. You won't shiver or anything when you enter the water but it will be quite cool.
you mean the ocean? it depends on the hour,of course,at noon the water will be warm
We are thinking of staying at the Hilton Papagayo Costa Rica resort.. But what's really important is warm water.. Is the water warm there? Thank you!
