Giving false information creates the opposite affect.
Because if they need to do something and it involves steps and you leave out a step you can mess everything up. Which could get you introuble for not telling them the accurate information, your boss will be upset that you didn't either, and your organization might suffer for not being helpful when it came to your product. You need to be very accurate, and not assume that people will know everything, unless of course they say they know then they know. But if they ask a lot of questions take your time to explain to them what it is and how it works!
