Amazon is a Fortune 500 company its definitely legit. You should check the reviews of the person selling the beats though before you buy, its usually not amazon selling the items, but rather outside vendors.
Amazon are 100% legit. I've bought hundreds of items direct from Amazon without any problems and hundreds more from the marketplace, with only a few problems and which Amazon sorted out quickly. Play.com are great too. Go ahead without fear!
Online buying isn't the safest way. But AMAZON is one of the safest websites. I don't reccomend ebay, because so many people get scammed. I have not heard of any of my friends get scammed from amazon. it really depends.
