I'd suggest you to go to Algarve in Portugal. You can really relax there. It's usually hot and sunny, there are really good beaches as Portim?o and Albufeira. You get a good service as it is a turistic place and you might even meet other people. Who knows? it always gets easier when you're alone, I think.

If you decided you would like to visit historical stuff and that I would advice you to go to Lisbon instead.

Anyway, wherever you go, enjoy.

Poland and Portugal are meant to be cheap. I've been to warsaw and it wasn't the best. Gdansk is meant to be nice. Maybe try there. Never been to Portugal so cant really comment but it is meant to be cheap. Maybe Lisbon would be worth a whirl?
