Thanks A lot!
Well you can apply for Thomas Cook or TUI as an overseas representative... Its long hours and average pay but you have free accommodation, food and rent etc.. Also it's an amazing experience you meet so many people and ncouter such diverse experiences...you can travel to different countries every season... Its a really fun job. The job requires you to have previous customer service experience though :( Cabin crew which is another option however you need to do long haul flights to enable you to stay in the country or you could just go travelling around the world and stay in hostels (great place to meet and interact with people from all walks of life) they are extremely cheap and most provide you with a complimentary breakfast ;) some advice is to be confident and approachable, don't be afraid to approach people and converse with them as this is a good way to meet potential buddies and not feel lonely... Also get involved in the activities and days out, to get the best out of your travel experience also pack light and plan each day, take a couple books if you feel that you're going to feel abit akward on your own... I tend to do it a lot...!! £10,000 is a good sum of money to travel with but you need to budget your money... Travelling is a great experience and it is even better on your own... Go for it..!
It's fairly easy to get jobs teaching English. I've known quite a few people who have done it- in South Korea, Thailand and the Philippians. These folks had college degrees- in liberal arts (literature or humanities).
$10,000 would go really far in South East Asia. The most expensive thing would be the flight there. You could probably visit for 6 months at least- particularly if you're careful about money and stay at low cost hostels instead of hotels. I backpacked through Thailand for a week on my own. It was most fun when I met other travelers. Sometimes, particularly when I was on my own in Bangkok and Authaya, I got lonely, but I strongly recommend it. You can travel really cheaply on the train- but even airfare within the country isn't that expensive.
I have a job that lets me travel to a different country every year to organize international meetings. It's only a small part of my job, and wasn't even really anything I expected when I got the job- but it worked out.
I suggest that if you're really interested in travel, either spend the money and go backpack for a while, or go to school for a field that will let you travel (try geography or international business).
Not very easy with the economy in many places these days resulting in high unemployment rates. Assumin g you're a UK citizen, you have the right to live and work in much of Europe, but actually finding a job may be problematic. In the rest of the world, you would need a visa to work and to stay long term.

Well you could be like a travel journalist or a food journalist like Samantha Brown or Anthony Bourdain and travel the world. Or you could be a film translator like I want to be and get to travel the world.
