What do you want to do, if you just want to see a rainforest and have no particular interests in birds or biology, culture or otherwise I would visit the cheapest to get to-- Africa would be the most complicated to get to. I assume you are interested only in tropical rainforests (Canada, the U.S. and Chile have temperate rainforests too).

You also have to choose between mountain rainforests (cloud forests) and lowland rainforests like the Amazon, the Congo Basin.

Panama City, Panama has a real rain forest within the city limits. And it has hiking trails. It is easily the most accessable rain forest but it is so big you can get lost and not find your way out for days.

Panama also has the most dangerous rain forest in the province called Darien. It borders the country of Colombia.

For a real rain forest experience and safe adventure the Panama Cith rain forest is best. It ain't Disney but the real thing with all the things found in a rain forest, monkeys, birds, snakes, etc. just a 20 minute drive from your hotel. Go during the "dry" season (Dec - May) and the trails are not so muddy.

Come to Australia! We have the deadliest things in the world all together in the one continent. The only thing that doesn't kill you in Australia are volcanoes, we don't have those.

I prefer Costa Rica.
