Depends on what you're looking for. :)
Chile and Costa Rica are both considered quite safe and offer a variety of wonderful sites and natural beauties.
Brazil speaks Portuguese, instead of boring Spanish like everyone else (Guyana, Suriname, and French Guinea being other exceptions...)
Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru have the wonderful Quechua culture, and of course there's Machu Picchu and the Nazca lines in Peru. Lots of great old Spanish buildings as well.
Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil share the Iguazu Falls on their tri-border.
Argentina and Uruguay have the "whitest" of Latin America, with a more influence from Countries like Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, etc. They'll call you Che and pronounce the LL like a "sh/j"
Chile is a skinny little country where you're never too far from the Sea, and basically has all of the natural wonders of the US squeezed into this coastal country.
Colombia and Venezuela have the Caribbean feeling without being an island. Lots of sun and awesome beaches.
I'm not too fond of Paraguay, but they have some wonderful food and the ability to travel to what the 1980s felt like in most of the rest of Latin America (not a compliment)
I like the mosre varied once, such as Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. You know there's diversity in culture, races, ecosystems, the most biodiverse as Brazil and Colombia. The Amazon Rainforest, the Caribbean, the Andes, the Orinoco basin (secong largest river after the Amazon river), the Pacific Coast, all that is in Colombia, besides we are always happy and polite no matter what.
The first answer is the reason why Argentina is boring, everything is the same over there.
Martin,Argentina is a shi't,
Brazil is the best one,
There are beaches that never you're gonna feel cold(includding winter),for exemple:
Rio
Fortaleza
Salvador
Florianópolis
And there are some 'Europeans' citys, that are cold(includding the summer)and always around 10?C,and winter 0 to 10?C and sometimes snow like
Curitiba
Porto Alegre
Some places in Santa Catarina
In all Latin America, acordding to an american magazine,Curitiba is the best city there, cleannest, safest, most beautiful,a looot of malls,a lot of touristic points.
This explain everything doesn't it?
I hope this helps
Best country for what? Seeing beautiful country side, dating gorgeous women, unspoiled scuba diving, trekking in the rainforests, inclusive resorts, birdwatching, inexpensive retirement, getting shot by drug runners or kidnapped by FARC? Just about every country here is good/best for something.
Argentina, obviously.
Brazil is a piece of ****, lol, big, unsafe and smelly.
Colombia is unsafe and there are a lot of weird people there.
