when I travelled the world for years at a time and always people asking me where are you from and being cheeky I always answered..."here"...!!!
I would certainly stay away from cities. Building a camp in the wilderness somewhere would be my favorite spot. Where I live now probably has some fugitives living a good life out of sight of anyone. Cascade Mountains, Washington state. Going south from my house, there are no houses for a good 30 miles (50km). A perfect spot to build a cabin and grow some crops.
Actually, everywhere can be a best place to be homeless. Sleeping on a big field of tulip, being chased by a crocodile in a river, jumping down from nigara falls and be a buddhist in a temple..........................
South where you have summer all year long.
Or find a sweetheart who felt sorry for you and allowing you move in.
