Too much false information. Konstantinopolis is a little area in today's ?stanbul, on the Thracian( european ) side of the city, some historians also call it '' historical island '' . Later It was conquered by Ottomans and on the other side of the city lived Latins, mainly Genevans, their lands were also conquered, after that new neighbourhoods started to appear outside of Konstantinople and people started to call it '' city '' someone in the Konstantinople area would go to the outside neighbourhoods and call it '' I am going to '' the city '' . ?stanbul name comes from the ;Greek '' ?stin poli '' meaning '' in the city '' . Konstantinople expanded and became ?stanbul and the Konstantinople area is called '' Sur i?i '' in Turkish, meaning inside the city wall and it was called by the names of neighbourhoods, you should expect that it is very normal cause of the conquest, The conquerer Fatih Sultan Mehmet many people to city from everywhere to populate it, even the first Armenian church in ?stanbul was build by the Sultan
