Spanish Architecture is very prevalent in Bogota. However, NO ONE -unless they have a lot of security - wants to live in a house.

When I was a kid, we lived in Santa Barbara - It was all houses.. Now, almost everywhere is apartments.

For reasons of security, everyone wants to live in a high rise, with lots of locks and security people.

some will follow British style, this is in northern Bogota.

others will be traditional green and white Spanish colonial type with front wood balconies.

most will be high 10 story apartment buildings
