We also have a limited budget, I know that its cheaper to eat out in Prague etc but we're really stuck on which place we'd rather go to.
Another slight problem is one if our friends is kinda interested in drugs, and although she said she won't do anything stupid we don't trust her at all and we're not sure whether Amsterdam is right. One of us has already been to Prague too.
The people in Amsterdam are more friendly, and the pubs are also more accessible for people under 18. So if you want to have a good time, Amsterdam is great and the people are extremely nice. If you want to go sightseeing, I think Prague is the better option. Lots of beautiful buildings and bridges to see there.
And btw you can do drugs (weed) legally in Amsterdam, but it's not much harder to get your hands on drugs in Prague so you can leave that out of your considerations. They're almost equal when it comes to drug policy. Amsterdam is a place where a lot of young people go, and for some reason Prague seems to be more popular with older people. Either way, I hope you'll have a great time! :)
Prague is much cheaper than Amsterdam. I remember I paid about 5 euros for 0.3 beer in Amsterdam and only about 2 euros for 0.5 in Prague (when you go out of the city centre you are looking at 1 euro for beer ). I don't know how much it could cost in a club I only talk about pubs and restaurants.
Another thing; there is nothing to do in Amsterdam apart from drinking and smoking weed.I mean I returned from there with only 10pictures as there was nothing to take picture of. Prague is historical and there is many places to visit. Not just in Prague itself but also in surroundings. (Castles vysehrad and karlstejn).
Not too sure if you consider as an advantage but in Prague you mostly find czech restaurants with czech cousine unlike Amsterdam where I didn't encounter any traditional food. Czech food is very nice and it's a good expirience because it's not similar to anything I know (google it!)
In Prague is quite easy to get any drugs. Your friend could easily get ripped off
Both are supposedly fantastic.
Amsterdam isn't a drug hub but weed is not illegal so you can get it easily enough.
Prague is more diverse I think and Amsterdam is more party ... but you can find both party and diversity in both. If it was up to me, I would probably choose Prague.

I would choose Prague. It's cheaper and it's very beautiful city. I would imagine that Prague would great and perfect place for you. :)
You don't want to do drug, then don't go to Amsterdam, trust me. Prague has better weather.
