I am 19, and fell as if my life isn't real. I got lucky and landed my first job in a company that will give me a future if I stay there long enough, but I don't know if I want it. Ever since I can remember, I could never decide on anything, and I still can't. Walking the U.S. might help me get a grip on what life is supposed to be, or what I want it to be. But the stresses that come with it, like finding food, water, and shelter turn me away from it. I am not very social, and know that you have to learn to talk to people when you travel, and this stresses me out as well. Would it be worth losing my first chance at a secure future just to walk around the country? What do I do?

get real... sorry but if you can't make decisions then walking away your problems is just escapism and pure fantasy

you got lucky and got a job... well... what is your problem millions of people would love to be lucky and get a job... as for your life not real well sorry but life is real it is what you made it so get real get on with the new job do the best you can save your money and make a life and a future for yourself

NO! It sounds like an excuse not to grow up and take a job. If you want to learn to socialize and get along with people...take the job. A guy that started out to walk across the country to raise money a couple of months ago was hit and killed on his second day ...I know that would be rare...but , really, I think walking across the country would just be a way of postponing or escaping growing up and taking a great job. The job has a purpose in it, walking across the country is just a way to escape responsibility and mature behavior. the job istself will be a great adventure...and it has purpose...go for it.

This is an amazing idea. Just be careful and be kind to others and what you need will come. As for if its worth it... How unhappy would you be with your future at this current job??
