and if your gonna comment "you cant get that much by the summer" or something like that. i want you to know that I believe i can do it and just dont even comment. thanks.
I actually went on one of these trips. I ended up playing piano for my church, and raised a decent amount that way..
Hey I just got asked to go on that trip too XD. Also its cheaper to go with people to people and you get to go to more places. Also you could get an amount like that in a time like the summer of 2013. Its a lot of work though, you could also try doing fundraisers, and try another job like babysitting, or helping someone out. You could also get save some money up over time, like from birthdays, christmas, and other hoildays as well. Also you can help out neighbors by cleaning their yards for a price, and have a yard sale, also make some bake goods, and see if you can sell any. You could also give your parents some to sell at their work place as well. How about cell phone recycling? And what state do you live in, where you can work at that age, I turn 16 in the summer of 2013 and i can't work any place like that yet. Hope I helped, hope to see you there if I do get to go. :3
You forgot taxes, transportation expense, lunches, uniforms (i e proper clothes and their upkeep) among other oversights when you computed the $ for a trip you do not really need at your age.
Save your money for college, get a good job, and then go on vacation to Europe as a tourist and set your own agenda. You will enjoy it much more. {Some of that $6,500 pays for the chaperones to go free.}
... oh, to be 15 again and be worldly wise and know it all.
People To People has a website for ideas about fundraising. http://p2ppayyourway.org/
