Tell all your credit card companies where you will be so that your charges are not denied. You can get the foreign currency at your own bank. Some rare currencies are not available, CHF for example, and that would mean you would need to go to the same banking system in a very large city. Yes, there is a charge for this. When you return, there is a charge to return to your own currency. No coins are ever exchanged, no matter their overall value. So buy lots of junk in the airport as you leave. No one really knows where you got that key-chain.
Buy TWO sets of electrical converters. A hub is useful for charging multiple things. Most hotels do have internet service, usually a wi-fi connection that is agonizingly slow. Keyboards are often not the same as in the USA. Use your room key to power all the electrical appliances in the room and bathroom.
Take a range of clothing, for cooler and hotter weather and especially for wet weather as you may run into that in all weather zones but it will not rain all the time.
All over Europe you can run into hot weather in the early summer, but in big parts of Europe you can also run into cool weather for which you need a sweater and often a rain jacket.
where in Europe?

Cotton and linen ... but it depends, as temperatures vary depending on where you are.
