The US or Canada are good options. You won't have any issues with the language and it's a shorter trip thatn going to Australia or New Zealand. Both have a lot to see & do regardless of whether you prefer the spectacular natural beauty of the national parks or a city break.
Depends on your budget and on what you're interested in. The Scandinavian countries are all safe and most people speak English there because their TV program is subtitled, not dubbed. The U.S. are interesting as well, but of course the flight will be more expensive. And Japan is safe and people are very polite and friendly there, but unfortunately, they usually don't speak English, so that's maybe not a good choice for your first trip abroad.
AUSTRALIA (Melbourne or Sydney). If you're the hipster kind Melbourne. If you like beaches, swimming and the outdoor sun Sydney is your place!!
For you, Asia is your best bet. If you live in the USA, Latin America is our best bet. Just go to the "safer" countries.
a nice place for first time is Malta.
