The problem is that most advanced countries won't give you a visa to move there, unless you are exceedingly rich. Some Asian countries will let you retire there, try Thailand or China for example.
Personally I would go to a poorer country since your money lasts a lot longer there. I know a lot of pensioners go to Spain or Turkey even but I me personally I would look into South America or an Asian country.
Check Cyprus. a lot of americans go there after retirement. Agia Napa, Protaras among the most popular cities.

I plan on retiring either in the South of France or in Northern Italy, but it's not cheap there. For budget, just google "best retirement places" and there will be a lot of suggestions coming up, from Mexico to Ecuador, to Thailand, etc.
If you want to experience many different cultures, move to Los Angeles.

I'd do more research on what countries would allow a retiree to live there. Most of them want you to be working and paying taxes.
