Driving Canada to Argentina?

Is it possible with taking into consideration political agreements and road availibility?

Hi there,

yes you can, and I know some people who did the trip (from the U.S. though), however, there's no road between Panama and Colombia, which means you have to put your car on a ship from the port of Colon in Panama to the port of Cartagena, Barranquilla, or Santa Marta in Colombia.

Forget about politics... Wheter it is canada, the usa or any latin american country it always suck u'll have absolutely no trouble going through countries forget about action films... Noone will have to fly with guns and bombs to rescue u from a charismatic leader... It can be a very expensive trip, i have known some people that want to do this kind of adventure, specially europeans and plan to save money by camping and not staying in hostels... You will not be able to do this everywhere as you will encounter some dangerous places and very poor infraestrucuture... Once you get to panama there is no road connection to colombia so a ship must be arranged...once u get to colombia you will feel you got to another dimension cose everyhting seems out of place and the majority of creatures living in this place do not seem human... The landscapes in south america are amazing.... I also want to go ushuaia by motorbike if that's sounds like a plan maybe we can start thinkin about it......

No, the highway is incomplete through Panama, and even where there is a "highway" it is often unpaved, primitive, and in very dangerous territory. People have been kidnapped and killed trying to walk through the Darien Gap. As far as I can tell from the scant material available on the internet, the "Bio-Pacific Ferry" is a proposal and as yet does not exist. there used to be ferries that went from Panama to Colombia, but there is NO info about these exciting now. If they did exist, I am sure there would be info on them ...but not a word to be found. People who have answered this question here before sometimes have said there is a ferry, but they never give a reference.

Call or go to all consulates of Latins Countries in Canada and ask for more Information, because there are some countries that are very dangerous if you go through them by car.

Do not go to Argentina! Kirchner is making an illegal and outrageous claim against the Falkland Islands. She wants to continue the horrific and atrocious history of hispanic genocide by overriding the desires and interests of the indigenous Falkland Islanders. Based on Argentina's past history, their culture, language and way of life will be destroyed, and a wave of Spanish speaking Argentinians will be sent to appropriate the property of the islanders.

This is a Crime Against Humanity. It is unconscionable to condone this wholly illegal and unacceptable behaviour by visiting them. Boycott Argentina.

Make sure you bring plenty of toilet paper
