Do Europeans hate capitalism? And if so, why?

A friend of mine mentioned how Europeans hate capitalism and warned me about showing off over there. He claimed that if you parked a Lamborghini in the middle of Berlin overnight, by the time you wake up in the morning it will have been set ablaze.

He then went onto mention that in certain countries like Finland they fine speeding tickets according to income. Supposedly a millionaire had to pay the equivalent of a quarter million US dollars for going over the speed limit.

Is any of this true, and if so, why?

I dont know what all European think,I am only one of them...if i wouldnt like capitalism,i would like it to be replaced by a long Nationalism era...

most european countries are quite capitalist... but in a more sane way than in the USA.

also, there's lots of fancy cars all over europe.. just don't park it in our equivalent of the hood and it'll probably be fine.

That is true.

Either you are a small child or a troll because Europe is the very center of capitalism.

Yes, a lot of europeans do hate it.

We see the rich get richer (in a so-called "crisis"), while a lot of others struggle to get by and our elderly get neglected.

Your friend told you a load of old hokum.

I don't think so.

Your 'friend' is a moron.
