Well, it actually depends on many things, for example in who old you are... if you are a young guy who enjoys parties and also likes to know new people, I highly recommend you Colombia, you can choose between two cities: Cali and Medellin, those cities have the best nightlife around South America. You won't want to go back home... I would say that Medellin is the best one, but It just depends on you. However, I consider Ecuador a really nice country to visit, you will have tons of things to do in South America in each little town or big city.
Peru has a lot of cool places to visit! The Nazca lines, Machu Picchu, The Rasnom room, Amazon, etc. you can also see the variety of cultures and delicious food.
Brazil, particularly Belo Horizonte
Definitely Uruguay - relatively safe, clean, low crime, nice people. Visit the capital city, Montevideo, for beach time as well as ancient temples and such. Cool city.
