I'm currently doing a Design project based on my love for Disney, that especially of Disneyland and the other parks.
As part of my research I wanted to gather some feedback from other fans on their experiences from the following question...
What makes Disneyland (and/ or other parks) magical to you? and if you had to pick one aspect for each of the senses what would it be?
For example mine would be -
Disneyland acts as an Escape - a place where I can forget about the outside world and relive my childhood memories.
Sense wise -
Sight - Quite an obvious choice, but the view from Main Street looking towards Sleeping Beauty Castle - Defines Magical to me.
Hearing - The Fantasmic! music or band on Main Street add to the overall atmosphere of the park.
Taste - Mickeys Premium Bar - My trips not completed without one!
Touch - For some reason I think of the handle bars on Splash Mountain or Space Mountain.
and finally Smell - Which has to be the Main Street Bakery.
I know this may seem quite a strange question - but any help would be great!
Thank you!!
Disneyland and Disneyworld are "magical" for one primary reason ... that is, the sheer number of people (little kids especially) that it brings joy and happiness to. *That* is magic.
I haven't been to Disneyland, but I HAVE been to Walt Disney World.
It really is a different world. It's hard to explain the happiness you get but the fact that you're in a DISNEY place makes you happy non-stop :)
Seeing the castle and all the little girl dressed up like princesses, children just having fun! ESPECIALLY when you see their faces the first time they meet Mickey!
Everyone is a kid. I remember laughing at the Monsters Inc. show, meeting so many of my childhood characters, the parade at night is stunning.
I wish I could go there again.
Seeing little kids having a good time is very magical and the sleeping Beauty castle should be every girls dream come true. The rides and lands including cars land seem very real to smaller ones and may even feel like there in the movie. The world of color tops it ;)
For me its just the sinse that ur not alone. every corner u turn theres somebofy a world where if u get lost in u will never be alone. a sense of freedom. all those childhood memories come flooding back. where i can forget. For a little while. For gods sake u can meet snow white and cinderella.
For me it has to be sharing the experience with my family. I think we are lucky enough to be very close and to get along 95% of the time, so going to my favorite place with the people I love most is probably what sells it so much for me. Think of how much less satisfying it would be if you did not have people around to share the experience with.
I am always amazed that
-so many people and yet it is clean clean clean.
-how people can stand in long lines for little or nothing at the end of the line.
-Disney can get money out of patrons, even those with pre-paid trip, well beyond what they intended to spend.
THATS A FUN PROJECT!
