I recently created a website. Eventually how do I make money from it?

Adsense is certainly an option, but will yield smaller returns if you do not have heavy traffic. Affiliate marketing can pay bigger rewards as it is more like a salesman commision. You can use both. For adsense sign up at http://www.google.com/webmasters/. Now for affiliate marketing the easiest way to start is to join affiliate networks. These will give you access to multiple affiliate programs under one roof and you do not have to meet a minimum earnings on each seperate program to get paid. While the banner ads look pretty on the site, the text ads generally get the most clicks these days, but again use both. I'll leave you a link to a list of networks in the sources. It is usually a good practice to have affiliate ads match or be related to the page content. For instance if your page is about healthy living, diiet suppliments is a good affiliate program to have.

Once you have your affiliates set up focus on an SEO strategy to get visitors to the site to increase the chances of getting clicks on your ads. If you do the SEO part well enough you could make a few extra bucks. I hope this helps, good luck!

It's all under a general category, monetization.

Adsense is the best of the click ads, don't buy junk traffic they don't accept it and will delete your account. I've heard about 50/50 of the guys trying junk traffic actually losing their accounts. Google will catch up to you just like any other anti-spam will to black hat tricks.

Adsense and other PPC advertisers give you a fair share, but no where near the money you can make from affiliate marketing and list building.

make sure you choose a highly specialized niche best practices.

You can go to niche profit classroom and get the best training I've found out there in the affiliate marketing business. Adam Short at NPC covers adsense, listbuilding, and his tested best practices. Here is another affiliate program I have it's a lot less in depth than NPC, google sniper. And the last one I have is get money here, I don't give out affiliate links to programs I wouldn't do myself, but here is a link anyway if you want it.

Yes, some of these are my affiliate links, but I think it's an appropriate answer to the question.

That is really good thinking to gain money through advertising on your website. Affiliate marketing is good but for that I believe you will require a separate blog or website with regards to the product you will promote. Affiliate marketing helps you make good revenue through commissions you share for each product you sell and it is possible only if you implement right strategies. It is always a good practice to maintain a separate blog or website to promote different products in affiliate marketing. If that is possible, you can go for Google Adsense. Google Adsense requires no separate setup of website or blog. You just have to register with Google Adsense and paste the Adsense script to your webpage. Google will review your website and shall approve your adsense request if your website follows their terms and conditions. Once the adsense ads are visible on your website and visitors click on these ads, you should get your pay after a month or so for the clicks on those ads by the website visitors. Hope that helps!

Ehm..

Affiliate marketing is the best and easiest way to start earning money online and making a living through the Internet. The most common misconception about affiliate marketing is that one can make huge profits simply by slapping up a two-page website with no original content and tossing some affiliate links in it. Because of this, many people easily become discouraged and drop out their affiliate programs after a few days even before they get to receive their first dollar. Although with the right programs there is plenty of money to be made through affiliate marketing, this is not a scheme where you can get rich overnight. You will have to devote some time and energy to your campaigns to achieve that kind of wealth that you?re aiming for. My goal isn't to be come rich or anything. Though that'd be nice, realistically my goal is to be able to cover my server fee's for my webhost. Problem is I don't know anything about this sort of thing. I'm more into the technical part of it. Anyways, I've heard of Affliate network or marketing...Standard click ads...Adsense...but I have no idea what they are or what the benefits are of each.
