As a person being taught by the Scottish Education system, which has a new curriculum, I can say that the system does focus on the person's ability rather than the required ability. For example, it doesn't matter what level you're at, you will still be able to study any level of education for any subjects, whether it's in Primary School, Secondary School, or College. University grade requirements vary as per University. The better the University, the higher your education must be, for example Oxford or Cambridge.
In the 1940s and 1950s it was the best in the world. Since the educational 'reforms' in the 1960s
it has become the worst.
Very variable. there are good and bad schools in both the private and state sectors although most of the exceptionally excellent schools are private. Universities vary enormously too fro those at the top like Oxford, Cambridge,
Manchester and Durham to some former polytechnics which are truly terrible. Moral: Choose your educational institution with great care
Better than Most and as long as it is better than the USA we are doing very well
and i have never Found any member with a British Education who did Not Know where Australia was
You are aware that the countries of Britain have different systems? Are you talking about the English, Welsh or Scottish system?
IS NOT one single system in UK....I have taught 30+ yrs in England,,having been educated unusually in Wales & Scotland......Is OK as long as politicians let us get on with it...
The haves and the have nots, if you have you will be educated if you have not money you will not be.
British kids are not as dumb as American kids
