How is London weather in April ?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
Hey ,

I will be in london in April 1 till 7th

I have no idea what to pack , like heavy jackets or sweaters , because i keep hearing that it will be freezing and others say it will be sunny .

I will be staying in Royal Garden Hotel,

how is the district and any reviews about the hotel or an advice ?

Thanks

It won't be freezing, but on the other hand it won't be summer yet so DO take sweaters as you might well need them. Of course I don't know how hot you are used to so google the average temperature in London in April and see how that looks to you. Also expect "April showers" - short sharp showers of rain that could come at any time. The one thing you can always say about British weather is that it's unpredictable, and in April even more often! I rather like the showers as it feels like the air has been washed clean afterwards.

That's a NICE hotel - expensive too - and it's in a nice area. You're next to Kensington Gardens, a big park, and pretty much next door to Kensington Palace where some of the royal family live. In the other direction there are the stores of Kensington High Street, and going south it's not far to walk to a big collection of museums - Natural History, Science, Geological, and the Victoria & Albert. On the way to those you pass Imperial College where I studied for three years, so I know the area well! There aren't many parts of London that are much "posher" and it contains a lot of foreign embassies, particularly of Arab countries.

In April weather would be not so much cold but you need to pack some warm clothes because weather could change. This month remains normal and ideal one weather for having a nice tour there. Some time cool breezily air with little bit sunny weather. Let you be more relax and in good mood. I am sure you will have a good time there and don't forget to visit some natural spots as well as the weather would be more suitable in April...... Best of luck

The Royal Garden is in Kensington next to Hyde Park, a very pleasant area. April is Spring with an average daytime temperature of 14 degrees centigrade 57 degrees f. You can sometimes get much colder weather than that so bring some warm clothes. It can also be much warmer. It is a time of year when weather patterns can be erratic. You should check this site the dat before you travel to London

The weather in England is much more variable than you are used to, particularly in April. By that I mean that four kinds of weather in one morning is not unusual. An average temperature is useless, because it will be changing rapidly and frequently. The best clothing is several thin layers that you can put on or take off as things change. Top layer should be light but windproof.

The feature of UK weather is that it is unpredictable with any degree of accuracy more than a few days in advance. April is unlikely to be freezing. However, that's not guaranteed.

Bring layers of clothing and include a waterproof jacket.

April can be cold sometimes, best pack some sweaters, unless it's unseasonably warm you will require them. it might be sunny but that doesn't mean it's warm, there's bright sunchine today but it's still nearly at 0 degrees Celsius (32 Farenheit).

One of the thngs you can predict in London is the unpredictablity of the weather :)

April in London is usually not cold, most years it can be pleasantly warm.

Check the weather before you leave.

You will need a mixture of clothes because our weather in April can be very changeable

anywhere between 5 and 12 degrees. Still cold.

Warmer from around June time.
