Depends where she is travelling from and why she is coming to UK and does she need a visa and does she have one and why a one way ticket, is she planning on staying here and does she have enough money to support herself and somewhere to live? I presume she is from outside the EU which means she needs immigration visa, Good Luck
Make sure she has the receipts for the return ticket deposit paid in case she needs them at immigration control, and/or if you are collecting her from the airport you take them wit you and she knows you have them should immigration wish to see them

If she's from the US, she stands a high chance of being returned if she doesn't have a return ticket.
Entry requirement depend on nationality, which you don't say.

Not that most non-EU tourist visitors require a round trip or onward ticket.
One way ticket and no visa the carrier will not take her.
