This advice is given on Southeatern trains website:- 'An amended timetable will run from Monday 29 December until Friday 2 January, with additional services provided in the early hours of New Year’s Day to help passengers to get home after seeing in 2015,' More information at http://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/you...
Drive in early, or you won't get a place to park. Park well away from the centre of festivities and walk. By "well away", I mean be prepared to walk two-three miles, there and back. I have walked 10 miles home from parties in town. Still better than hotel or walking home to Kent.
Extra trains run on most lines on New Years Eve/New Years Day until 3am or thereabouts. Check timetables on www.nationalrail.co.uk
This is going to have to be for future reference, but plan. That's the best way. Or on such little time like somebody said before me, be prepared to walk.
I would have booked at travelodge or similar but you have left it far to late, l would give
it a miss this year and book a room for next year by mid summer
It would help if we knew whereabouts in Kent you actually live, it's a v. large county!
