I'm planning to move to London to study at the university, and I'd like to know how much money do people earn at average. I mean, some salaries are considered huge in one city/country and are barely fine in the other.

I'd say you can forget about renting a 'good flat', your best bet is a flat-share or better yet some sort of university accommodation if such a thing is available for your university and course.
