I have visited most of the places and my best place is pokhara....
Oooooh, Just come back from a 14 country trip after buying a RTW air ticket, Bargain ￡1500. 9 months (could have had a year). Been to many countries previously. Its not always about the best place... its about timing and most of all, people. I once drove UK-Australia, went through Iran, the people were great. Also, Eastern Turkey and in amongst the Kurdish people (Oh, keep away from THEM I was told), they, the Kurds, turned out to be the nicest people I have ever met. For Scenery, as a country NZ takes a lot of beating, For wackiness and Over The Top, Las Vegas, for raw Beauty, Australia. Temples and people, Vietnam, Cambodia.
My next `adventure`? I am buying a Canal Boat to see my own country, England, for a couple of years.
Oh aaashish, Pokhara is lovely too, caught the train from Mumbai, then the adventurous bus ride...
