well, you can travel around the world in about 4 days if you wanted to. So, you certainly can do it in less than 5 weeks. HOWEVER, you would probably visit a lot of places and experience none of them. I am an experienced traveler who travels for longer periods of time. In my opinion to travel the world in less than 6 months makes no sense unless you have money to blow.
Pick a part of the world that you might be interested in and go their for 5 weeks.

yes, 5 wks is plenty. I assume you're from the states, start in SE Asia...like Bali or ko phi phi thats cheap, go to N.India, see the Taj, hit Istanbul and bathe in its rich history, then fly to two european countries, see the ruins in Rome and the tower in Paris for instance, decide if you want to skip africa, then hit Rio and tan on ipanema. fly back to New york and back home. you hit pretty much all the major romantic cities in the world. 3-5 days in each city. you can add Sydney and tahiti on your hit list, but you better be fabulously rich to do this though.
I recommend you go to New Orleans. There are a lot of places you can visit. Plus there are party buses New Orleans LA that can arrange travels for you.
Ha its your honeymoon all you're going to have time to do is each other! Where you go doesn't matter.
