Greece is a safe country and Philoxenia is our major virtue. That means we take excellent care of our visitors. Although Tunisia is a long way off Greece, under the recent craziness of the religious persecution that has affected some European countries you cannot exclude any possible incident but that is just as possible as being hit by a car. Which is far more likely to happen even close at home.
However, Greece has good relations with the Arab World and that should be taken under consideration.
It will be safer than visiting the U S A for a holiday , for example , where many in the population are allowed to go about routinely armed with modern military grade lethal weaponry as a constitutional right , despite having the minds of depressingly stupid four-year-olds .
Greece and it's islands are in Europe , which tends to be the more civilised area of the planet .
Unless you go into the Libyan sea , south of Crete ( and you'd have little reason too , there are few good harbours in the south of that island ) you will be nowhere near any areas liable to islamo-looney action .
But you are quite right to be afraid , I'd stay home if I were you . Lie under the bed with your head wrapped in the duvet , if you cant see them , maybe they cant see you .
Safe from Tsunamis?
Greece is not in Tunisia
Never was, never will be.
