I hear Ireland is very pretty, and have had lots of people who have gone and really enjoyed it. The language barrier over there should be minimum, and there's lot of fun to be had.
Spain is pretty, and has nice architecture, and with your Spanish knowledge may actually be a lot of fun- however- Spain has a high crime rate, and also suffers from pollution and things of that sort. I suppose it's up to you.
Are you more into the open greens, pretty landscapes, etc. or are you into the big, architectural cities with lots to do?
First trip abroad it is a good idea to go to a country with a lot of English, so the UK is great. You can easily visit England, Scotland and Ireland in one trip.
Spain is also amazing and it is a great way to inspire yourself to learn Spanish.
depends on you , there isint to much of a problem language wise in éire /Ireland , all though there are some area's were people still speak Irish ,ive been to spain twice but that was years ago , i heard it still has a huge crime rate , there is no chance of you getting kid naped in éire ,the gaurds don't even carry guns . it's pretty peaceful but if you go to one of the big cities like Dublin expect alot of night life ,posbably drugs and alcohal . and certin places are pretty run down ,but for the most part it's a clean and modren city . the people are also nice in Ireland just don't expect good directions .
