i know thats always possible but where is the chance of it lowest due to your opinion?
In December you'd have to look for somewhere in the southern hemisphere. Australia or New Zealand would be good choices. Both are pretty safe countries full of friendly and welcoming people.
A beach holiday around Christmas - how about the Canary Islands, such as Tenerife? I once spent Christmas there and the weather was still warm enough for swimming in the sea. (However, I've heard that's not always the case.)
Or a tropical place, such as Puerto Rico? Or the Dominican Republic? I haven't been there yet, but have heard that these places are safe.
Well I just got back touring India last summer (not saying you should go there), but the mother I had met there brought along her two kids...adults I guess. I would say both in their 20s with her. Since that is a bit of a long stretch, I would say any country that is near wealthy and you know the language very well to get you out of trouble. Australia? New Zealand? UK? Canada? Try to stay out of near impoverished countries like any in South America, Africa and/or Asia. This is based on the assumption that you are White and only know English.
Thailand - places like Phuket are very safe, child friendly and most of the people at the big resorts will be families with kids over Xmas holidays
japan is most safe place
