Where to travel to for my birthday?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
So for my birthday next year (yes, I know it's a while away, but I'm going to start saving up now) I want to travel. I can't travel this year because of finances and a new house, so I'm planning in advance. The issue is, I don't know where to go. It's just going to be me and my mom and my birthday is in August. I want to go some place fun, but my mom lived in New York for pretty much all her childhood...and don't say Florida -- I already live there! I've never traveled out of state or been on a plane. Where should I go in the US for my birthday?

What are your interests? There are certainly lots of things to see and do in places like Washington, DC, Chicago or Denver and all of them would be different to where you are now. Or if you're interested in outdoors and wildlife, consider national parks like the Great Smokey Mountains, or Yellowstone.

That1gir, damn, you want within the continental USA, that's boring. i would have suggested three locations, maybe four. Lets start with the Hawain Islands, hmmmm got your interest yet? Then you guys have Canada, across the boarder. Are you and your mom into fashion, take a side trip to Montreal. The big one, if you two really want to let your hair down, and have fun, Sydney Australia, the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland.

Okay, how about an all inclusive week in the Dominican Republic?

SC has Myrtle beach which has a lot of things to do around that area, OR las Vagas depending on how old you are and I know you said in the US but Canada is also another choice and its not to far from us also California or Chicago . I think all states have fun things to do you just have to pick some states you never been to and google places and attraction to go to and then pick which is best for you, good luck.

What type of environment you looking for? You want tropical places, city life, country, landscape beauty etc etc??? My suggestions if you wanna stay in the US would be Puerto Rico ( no passport needed) its beautiful with lots to do, Las Vegas for fun ( not uust for gambling but the shows are fun and lots to do) Chicago, New Orleans, California ( I live in California) Hawaii is always a good idea. How about a cruise? I love cruises...these are just a few of my favorite travel places

Different people have different ideas of what is fun.

If you want to do something outdoors, visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park in eastern Tennessee. There is good scenery and good hiking. If you go when the moon is new, the stars are magnificent against a dark sky.
