Based on your CV, I would suggest to investigate the Caribbean side, down below Limon. Naturally, there are a few very ''touristic'' places, but there's still room for ''regulars''.

I live near of San Isidro del General and I really enjoy it.
But I'm 1 hour away from de beach.
I think maybe you'll like places like Dominical and Uvita, on Pacific Coast.
Dominical is a little town on the beach where a lot of surfers go.
They is big waves!
Uvita is a little bit more quiet, maybe 15 minutes from Dominical.
They is the National Park Marino Ballena who is beautiful!
There's also a good "secret" spot for snorkeling, not a lot of people knows about it.
But it worth it: go to the end of "the ballena tale" at low tide, where the rocks are.
Hope you'll enjoy your trip!
Bienvenida a Costa Rica!
Check out the town of Samara on the Guanacasre coast.
Go to Jaco beach.

Turrialba! It's a small city, but it's beautiful, and it is one hour away from the capital by bus. Google it, it is beautiful!
I have a job where I am able to work remotely after I've been there for a year. I want to move somewhere that's warm all the time, and beautiful, and where I can practice my spanish and become fluent.
I have a friend who is on board for moving with me to Costa Rica. We both visited for a week, but it wasn't enough time to figure out where I'd like to live.
What would be some good options to check out?
I'm a 24 year old female. I need good internet access. I like warm and sunny weather. I'd love to live on the beach (I scuba dive), or if not, somewhere where I can hike or do activities. I like beautiful cities/towns/views.
I don't care too much about fancy amenities and certainly don't want to live somewhere that's more American than Costa Rican. I want to experience Costa Rica! (I also have a bit of a hippy/bohemian personality) I also occasionally like to party:)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
