Well, can't answer it exactly. But I can tell you that public transportation and taxis are very popular here. It's different than North America where you'll find 3 to 4 cars for 1 home...
Here, a lot of people doesn't have a car. That's why you can find cheap public buses or use a taxi for 1$.

It is impossible to say how many cars there are in a country, as people continuously come in and out of it. Find a different way to present your data, like how many cars there are per person
There are so many cars that have outgrown the streets.
