Canada stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Arctic ocean to the Great Lakes. It has great plains, rocky shield country, rocky mountains, pacific coastline, Appalachian uplands, Great Lakes lowlands... in addition to the Arctic and Far North (in and of itself a very geographically diverse region).
Alaska is one state full of mountains, Tundra, and is generally a Pacific coast/Far North geographic region. Alaska is a lot like Northern BC and the Yukon in Canada.... but that's about it.
