What is Costa Rica like?

Costa Ricans live a pretty damned good life when compared to other third world countries. What is it like ? What does that mean ? It's a sub tropical climate and the native language is Spanish. Very verdant country, lots of rain and cloud forests. The people are friendly but a gringo still needs to be aware. Do not ever leave luggage or cameras visible inside a car or SUV, or the windows will be smashed shortly after you park and everything gone. Simply put, the " haves ", have attracted the " have nots ",...just a word to the wise.

Health care is good, I even know some Norte Americano's who go down there for dental work.

No min wage. But all this is just words, you just need to go there and see for yourself, like the rest of us has done. You'll be fine.

Go to cia.gov to the country handbooks for detailed information on the country. Good healthcare is available and the average Costa Rican has a life expectancy equal to that of the U.S.. It is a middle income country--not a poor country. They do not have a minimum wage like we do-- it is by occupation. Cost of living is relatively high almost at the level of the cheaper American states (Mississippi/Arkansas)

Costa Rica is such a beutiful country with beautiful mountains and sceneries. The beaches are also so beautiful. The problem is the people, its fool of bad people who lie and steal and don't give a **** about you. Its the ugly truth.

Living conditions are nice, depending on what you can afford, but the people are happy.

It's beautiful there.

People are mostly very nice and giving,,,but they also see a gringo coming a mile away.

health care does exist, but you need to check into what you actually need.

No minimum wage.

You questions are soooooo broad that someone would have to write a book to really answer them..

You need to go to CR yourself, or do a little homework. Just go online,,,you will find a lot of info.

Good luck.

Just so happens im going there soon to fish and snorkel so im very interested.also..especially the South Pacific in the jungles....down on the Osa Peninsula..Hapoy Turkey everyone.lol

I live in the U.S. What are Costa Rica living conditions compared to the United States? What is it like there? What are the people like? How's health care? What's the minimum wage?
