Thinking about moving to Pakistan..?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
I met my on and off boyfriend while he was visiting America. He's from Pakistan and for 2 years we have been on and off together. We've talked about him coming over here, and we've talked about me going there. I'm going to be ignorant and flat out say-- I don't know if it would be a good idea or not.

He tells me all the talk about hatred towards Americans and stuff isn't true.. and I would be very safe over there. He also told me even though him and his family are Muslim, they would be very respectful of me being Catholic, and wouldn't dare force me into Islam or judge at all. I'm just not sure if being a white, catholic, blonde, American..moving to Pakistan would be a good idea?

Why anybody would voluntarily move to that region of the world defeats me. Especially a woman.

Your boyfriend would be the one to believe in this situation.Since he actually lived there. Don't listen to any of these people because they've never been there and believe everything the media says. Pakistan seems like an amazing country to me. America gets boring after a while. Not very exciting this country is.

The answer is easy: visit the country first. Then you can make an informed decision. I was in Pakistan a long time ago, and the people were really friendly in general.

Visit his country for 2 weeks. Then you will have an idea. I love freedom and living so I would encourage him to move here but good luck with whatever you choose.

no it wouldn't be a good idea at ALL.

they're filthy, they hate Americans, the food will give you diarrhea & they treat their women worse than they do their goats.

if that's what you want, then go for it girl!

Good Luck with that.
