Go on Ancestry.com and learn about your roots. If I were you, I would just identify as American until you truly know about your ancestry. You could be Hispanic but maybe not Mexican. You could be Puerto Rican, Peruvian, Cuban, Honduran, etc...
no, if you don't speak spanish you are not hispanic. Ethnicity is not about skincolour or how you look
You should identify as stop being a liar "yasmine" I saw your username before you went anonymous.
I remember you would ask all the time if you "looked" hispanic bc everyone kept confusing you for one when you were actually persian and now you're hispanic?
lol gtfo
Okay so all of my family is very Americanized. My native language is English, and everyone in my family's native language is English. My family has had many generations living born in America for probably over a hundred years, but we aren't white. I'm not sure of what exact ethnicity I am because I don't know my father and my mom side of the family is so Americanized, were not sure what country our ancestors came from. We just have Spanish surnames. Even my fathers side of the family are native English speakers and lived in the us for many years. The problem is that people hear my name and just classify me as Mexican because of my hair and skin color, but I don't know if it's wrong to not consider myself Mexican or even latina when I don't even feel like it. I hate being stereotyped, but I don't know if I should consider myself hispanic ? Almost everyone I know who identifys as Mexican I know has some generation not that far back from Mexico, but I don't what I am :( I feel lost in culture, so I always am interested in others cultures mostly Asian cultures because I don't have any culture myself. I don't know what I am, should identify as Latina/Hispanic ? I don't feel white either.
