Russia occupies the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, which is the home of an indigenous group of ethnic Turks called Crimean Tatars. Crimean Tatars hate Russia because of longstanding persecution and are fiercely loyal to Ukrainian Republic.
Turks understand how their brothers in Crimea are being discriminated against by Russian military occupation and hate Russians now.
Russians really love to come to Turkey because of the weather I think. Especially to Antalya(it's one of turistical city of Turkey). Antalya, marmaris, ?e?me, ku?adas? are full of turist and most of them russian. Even in the Turkish history lessons, they teach us that Russia has a desire to gain access to the warm waters. I think that the main reason.
Turkish guys really love russian girls. The major reason I think, most of them are blonde and they are more open-minded to stuff than turkish girls. Because our culture is totally different. And in Turkey, when someone said Russia, they instantly think girls even women.
That's just my opinion. I don't know about political stuff between them.
turks are crazy islamists, they want to join to eu to destroy christian europe, also they supported cracy jihadists from chechnya against russia
Yes, the Turks are willing to join the Customs Union. This will facilitate trade relations. Many tourists from Russia go to Turkey on holiday.
Russia is not friend of Turks. They helped Armenia to kill many many Azeri Turks. They occupied Crimea and killed many Crimean Turks.
Politically the two countries have been enemies much more and longer than they've been friends, going back to the imperial Russia vs. Ottoman days, and more recently during the Soviet vs. Nato cold war times. Two large powers living so close to each other, this is almost inevitable I guess, especially as they have little common ground in cultural, religious, etc. matters to balance against the geopolitical friction.
In economic terms they get on far better, even if it's only as pragmatic necessity. Turkey is a very popular destination for Russian tourists. There are strong trading/business links in both directions, eg. Turkey buys a lot of timber and other natural resources from Russia, and meanwhile sells back things like construction services.
