- from Gran Colombia May 13, 1830
- Recognized February 16, 1830

The government type is Unitary presidential constitutional republic
The current leader is Rafael Correa the president of Ecuador or the governor Jorge Torres
In Ecuador a?o viejo is popular but i'm not sure if its like that in the Galapagos as well, a?o viejo is a celebration that happens on New years where people burn dolls made from varies things, in a festival to celebrate the end of the year. The burning of the dolls wards of bad luck and negative energy.
Major industry is fishing and tourism
For a ticket from Miami international airport prices would vary, but it would roughly take 4 and a half hours but you may have to take a connecting flight through somewhere else because some airlines don't go to the Galapagos

Time and cost for a round trip to Galapagos from Miami International Airport?
- Depends on the time of the year you want to fly; consult your travel agent or find out on the different travelling websites (Expedia, etc.)
Galapagos Islands are a Province of Ecuador and it's capital would be Puerto Baquerizo Moreno at the San Cristobal Island. Since the British explorers were there before it became part of Ecuador, every Island has an English name from the XVIII century, then a spanish name when it belonged to Ecuador
San Cristobal = Chatham
Santa Cruz = Indefatigable
Isabela = Albemarle
Genovesa = Tower
Santiago = James
Fernandina = Narborough
Floreana = Charles
To get there you would have to travel to Quito first then take a smaller plane to the islands for US $ 1,100 round trip, then you have to pay the entry fee of US $ 100
I need help with some questions I can find information on.
