Both Italy and the UK are great choices--the UK is a good first trip internationally because you don't have a language barrier, though it is a somewhat expensive place to visit. Personally I think I'd like to go to India for my next vacation. Cheers!
If you get to Europe, I would recommend the Carpathian Mountains. They are breathtaking and people are friendly and real (they are sincere and trustworthy). My experience was extraordinary: I got to see wild animals in the wilderness, beautiful, rare flowers and I had a good taste of fresh spring water. It is mind-clearing and refreshing after so much time spent in big cities.
