The sooner I get one the better. I am not picky about where to go. The question here is, I am low on funding, so I need alternatives that will allow me to backpack around and make my way with not a HUNDREDS of dollars.
Helpful suggestions are appreciated.
You should take a relaxing vacation in tropic island like in Bali Island where most of the luxuries are available and at affordable prices. Say some private villa in this website - http://www.balivillaholidays.com/
Sri Lanka. I just came back from a 10 day holiday there. It is incredible and very good value for money. Lonely Planet puts it as no1 country to travel to in 2013. Go there now before it gets over populated with tourists. The right time and it offers everything from great nature, mountains, tea plantation , sandy beaches, surfing, whale watching, elephants and leopards and great national parks and safaris.
Don't hesitate. Guest houses are of high quality, very freidnly people and you will defintely meet backpackers specially at the south coast. Make sure you visit Galle, an ancient beautiful town in the south!
I hear ya man. You know what I like to do? I take long long long long long walks. I walk and I walk and I walk. It is very therapeutic and It clears your mind. You dont have to have a destination, just go and see where your legs take you. Few things are more peaceful, than just walking. Avoid the ghetto sides of town.
go for a holiday in nepal
