How hard is it to ski the Andes?

there are lots of resorts that are also family oriented places like Utah, Chile and Argentina. Check out the link below, lots of incredible place that are also safe for a family ski trip.

In the ski centers near Santiago, South America's ski capital, the season usually lasts between around late June to ealy September. 2013 was a very good year with plenty of snow and an extended season from late May to early October.

Most of those ski centers are, in fact, more family oriented than anything, although most offer tracks for beginners and experts. Places like Colorado, La Parva, Valle Nevado and Portillo are heavily visited by Chileans and foreign tourists.

There are also some other ski centers further south, offering a more interesting experience for adventurous visitors.

Hola,

best family oriented ski resorts are: Cerro Catedral Alta, Caviahue, Las Lenas, and Chapelco. All of them are in Argentina. Season is between June and October. Have a great skiing trip.

Bariloche, Argentina has traditional ski area called Catedral. The ski season is during our summer months. The area attracts families, celebrities and persons of moderate skiing abilities.

I'm from Alberta and I LOVE skiing. I'd love to experience it somewhere other than the Rockies, too! I have only been skiing for about 3 years so I'm farrrrr from heli skiing or extreme sports. I am wondering if you know if there are any resorts for a more family oriented experience? Most of the ones I have looked into are really geared towards extreme skiers. Thanks for the help!
