To see a group of people? I have traveled Europe to North America several times, it was one of the main reasons to visit New Zealand and Australia but I would not have traveled that far for just meeting people.
If it was that one special person in my life who was stuck somewhere far and I could go and see him, I would likely travel as far as it took, as long as I could scrape up the money.
I have traveled from Italy to California to see someone in the past - so several thousand miles.
i frequently travel out to the kitchen to see me mom when she makes me some pop tarts or a sandwhich for my lunch and i have to travel all the way to school everyday to see my teachers but i don't really get a choice in that matter
