Some other destinations we've thought about are Peru, Bali, Hawaii and Belize. We will be travelling from Toronto and are looking for a 10-14 day vacation for a budget of $8,000.
Does anyone have any suggestion for a September honeymoon. Looking for beaches, adventure, culture and warm weather.
well here are some of the sad but true facts of life... the days of thailand are over it is now a very dangerous place the maoists have taken over the corruption is unbelievable and there are many consuls around the world now placed thailand on their don't go list
as for bali well we australians would always advise never go there after the bombings and the murders it might appear a pretty little place but the facts are quite different
I will not go into your other options because there is no point ...
as you are from a safe clean country you should travel to another safe clean place where you know you will not get kidnapped murdered end up with disentary or worse...
there are many wonderful amazing places to choose for a honeymoon in the hawaiin islands... take your time an pick one as each of the islands has a different character and putting up a weather link for you as september is a great time to go... you will find great beaches amazing culture quite different from canada and depending on what sort of activities you want there could be plenty of adventure
you will not be disappointed the islands are absolutely beautiful

Edit... forgot to mention the smell is amazing you get off the plane and wow it's a mix of ginger blossom and frangipani and ocean and clean air sort of thing one of those moments you always remember
Bali is absolutely a good choice, Bali was well known of its resort & beaches. Bali is the oldest city in Indonesia, most of the people there are friendly and helpful. Bali also got a very thick Hindu culture in it, many beautiful temple around. and of course you will find a very warm weather. Besides, Canadian Dollars got a very good exchange rate to Indonesian Rupiah.
