Two days in Caracas.
There is a lot to South America - mountains and jungles, and plains and rivers and cities.
They mainly speak Spanish or Portuguese depending on the country.
Each country is different.
Hi "Just Me",
I went a couple of times to South America (usually I go between 4 and 6 months at a time) and I am lovin' it. Recently spend 3 months in Colombia and 3 months in Brazil. Also, spent some time in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Argentina. All of these countries are amazing. Friendly people who know how to live, incredible sceneries, very difersified, good food in some countries, great beaches, tons of things to see and to do from Machu Picchu in Peru to La Ciudad Perdida in Colombia, to the Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro, to the Amazon, the Most Dangerous Road in the World in Boliva, the amazing city of Buenos Aires, etc.
It is a part of the world very worthwhile to visit. Actually, I am planing to move to South America soon, most likely Colombia or maybe Brazil (would need to learn Portuguese first).
Well, this is difficult to answer, because for 1 thing, Latin America is very big and VERY diverse, with many extremely different kinds of people. This would be like asking "whit is north america like?" or "what is europe like?" since they are large and diverse areas. Argentina is very different from Mexico, which is very different from Cuba, which is very different from Brazil. It would be better to be more specific about the area you are interested in, or about what you want to know exactly, after all there are whole books written just on individual cities in Latin America. Even in my country, Peru, there are great differences between the different parts of the country, in culture, language, dialect, life style, economy, and other things.
yes, i have been to Ecuador and Chile. Both countries are absolutely stunning! South America is beautiful. In Ecuador, you can see many mountains, cobble stone streets, large cathedrals, nice beaches, and great food!
in Chile, it looks a little more modern you still have some cobble stone, and you can have snow!
Only the airport in Rio De Janeiro
Brasil
Argentina
Paraguay
Uruguay
all spectacular - encantado- enchanting
